8/1/08 New reviews, interviews, and more.

In this update we send off Werewolf Month with two additional adult werewolf reviews. Bob Freeman reviews Nic Brown's Blood Curse / Werewolf for Hire Book One and Michele Lee reviews Nancy Collins' Wild Blood. The Monster Librarian reviews Neal Shusterman's Red Rider’s Hood in the young adult Werewolf section.

For our non-werewolf reviews Bret Jordan reviews Adele Hartley's Read by Dawn 3 and
M.F. Korn's Aliens, Minibikes and Other Staples of Suburbia , and David Agranoff reviews Dark Distortions edited by Molly Fesse and C.D. Allen in the Adult Horror Anthologies section. The Monster Librarian reviews Life Sucks by Jessica Abel, Gabe Soria, and Warren Pleece in the young adult Vampire and Graphic Novel sections. The Coming Horror Fiction Releases page has been updated for August and September. Rio Youers, author of Everdead is interviewed by Bret Jordan in our Author Interviews section.

3/17/08 A new look, new reviews, and more lists

MonsterLibrarian.com has a new look to make it easier to read and navigate the site. In addition to the changes to the site, we have new reviews with Bob Freeman reviewing Fried! Fast Food, Slow Deaths edited by Colleen Morris and Joel A. Sutherland in the adult horror Anthologies section. The Angry Princess reviews The Possessed by Ronald Dondeigo in the adult Supernatural section. We have revisited our review of Pod of Horror since its move to Horrorworld.org In the Scary Books for Kids section Jabberwocky by Lewis Carroll, ill. Christopher Myers.

We have put together lists of graphic novels focusing on Zombies and Vampires. We have updated Coming Horror Fiction Releases for April and May. Francesca also reviews Dav Pilkey's Dogzilla in the Scary Stories for Kids section. Willow May Goes to the Midnight Carnival by Icats Nitram in the Scary Stories for Kids section.

12/16/07 reviews of tales of Vampires, Zombies, and Deep Ones.

In this update I take a look at James A. Moore's Deeper from Necessary Evil Press in the Cthulhu Mythos section. J.L. Bourne 's re-edited/re-packaged Day by Day Armageddon from Permuted Press is reviewed in the adult Zombie section. Scott T. Goudsward's Trailer Trash from Dark Hart Press is reviewed in the adult Vampire section. Francesca the Librarian reviews Paul Bibeau's Sundays with Vlad from Three Rivers Press, also in the adult Vampire section. Finally, Michele Lee reviews Horror Classics: Graphic Classics edited by Tom Pomplun from Eureka Productions in the young adult Graphic Novels section.

There is a review of David Wellington's Monster Island: A Zombie Novel in the adult Zombie section. A review of Scott Nicholson's vampire novel They Hunger. Bret Jordan reviews M.F. Korn's Rachmaninoff's Ghost and Swamp Witch Piquante & Scream Queen Bisque (Over a Bed of Rice) in the adult Supernatural section. I also review M.F. Korn's Skimming the Gumbo Nuclear. Two of Julie Kenner's books get reviewed with me reviewing the young adult vampire book Good Ghouls Do and Francesca the Librarian reviewing Carpe Demon: Adventures of a Demon- Hunting Soccer Mom. In addition, Bret Jordan reviews Gary Braunbeck's Destination Unknown in the Something Different section for adults. I add to this weeks update with reviews of Graphic Classics: H.P. Lovecraft edited by Tom Pomplun for the young adult Graphic Novels section, The Pandora's Box Trilogy: Book One: Into the Void by Adam Teachout in the newly created Horror Themed Adventure section for young adults, and Favorite Scary Stories of American Children by Richard and Judy Dockrey Young in the Scary Books for Kids section.
